Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Patients,
First and foremost, our team has missed you. Seeing you, talking with you, and taking care of your health gives us a sense of purpose that we look forward to rekindling.
Over the last couple of months we have been following the directives of the Pennsylvania Department of Health and have only been seeing the most severe dental emergencies. We have worked tirelessly not only to serve the community but also to invest in and implement industry leading safety measures and technologies.
On Friday, May 8, the Pennsylvania Department of Health announced that dental practices could reopen to more patients. There are a number of caveats to the announcement that we are working through. There are also a number of limitations and requirements.
We are confident that our new efforts coupled with our historical commitment to going above and beyond with infection control will make our offices safer than most places you will visit in the community. We are remaining vigilant in protecting our team members. Because our work inherently produces water sprays that can escape your mouth, dental professionals are at risk without the proper equipment to keep them safe. Much of this equipment is in short supply.
We are spending this week procuring equipment and preparing and training our teams. Over the next 4-5 weeks we will be gradually returning to a full schedule by prioritizing procedures to treat emergencies and urgencies first. We have quite a back log of patients desperately in need of treatment. Please be patient with us. Know that we are committed to doing things the right way.
Finally, we are asking those of you on the Verber Dental Plan to reach out to Jamie Clark at 717.963.3195 if you have had an appointment rescheduled. We would like to manually reset your enrollment period so that you can capture the full benefit of your plan.
Please stay tuned for further communication regarding some of the new protocols and improvements that we have instituted.
Dr. William Noll
